Let's start here because it is our most common request. If you have a photo of a pet, human family member, or a scene from a vacation that you love to look at, you can keep it close within your Ultrascope. The same goes for a graphic that you'd use as the wallpaper on your phone. We can even upscale some older or lower resolution photos for you (to an extent).

The upload tool allows you to see how your design will be cropped within the print space.
If you are using a logo, vector-based file formats will work best for print; however, the upload tool can't read them. Feel free to play around with a JPEG or PNG for layout and styling; we will ask for the proper files when preparing your proof.

Currently the custom builder only supports uploading and ordering with one image. We are working on a way to allow you to upload multiple for a couple of proof options.
In the meantime, if you want to see a true-to-life proof for another photo, graphic, or logo variant. just ask when you receive your first proof.
The design is printed on the underside of the head, the central sound hole cuts through the design, the internal tube runs over the image, and the curved sides also magnify and warp the edges of the design like lens.
The image uploader at the bottom of the page overlays lines for the safe zones for important elements of your custom design. Rotating the head in your hand will reveal and portions of the design covered by the tube or warped by the side.
Some photos or logos work better inverted. We orient all of our designs such that they are right-side-up around the neck and upside-down when in use (ie. tubing at the top).
If you are wanting to use a centered photo of a pet or person, it may look better rotated in the other direction.
Either way, it's never upside-down all the time!
The higher resolution the image is, the better it will print. We have minimum height and width restrictions of 500 pixels on the file uploader below. Anything smaller than that will print poorly.
We are capable of upscaling some photos as necessary but images with a minimum of 1000 pixels on each side are recommended.
For logos and any brand graphics, vector-based file formats such as .AI, .EPS, .SVG, and/or even .PDFs will always work best. Designs that are supposed to be sharp and have crisp edges will always be less forgiving than photos at smaller resolutions!
