The Ultrascope is built with a single-sided chestpiece and a cardiology-grade, tunable, pressure-sensitive diaphragm allowing for easy adjustment of the diaphragm to listen for lung, heart, and bowel sounds. Lightweight and extremely durable, the Acoustic Globe is made from hardened, flame-polished acrylic that blocks out more ambient noise than a metal-headed stethoscope.

The Adult size is the standard and is suitable for adults, children, most toddlers, even infants as well as large animals, marine mammals, and most pets including puppies and kittens. The Pediatric is best for treating newborns, small baby animals, and small exotics.

We offer two sizes as the Adult diaphragm may be too large in diameter for the smallest patients. A pressure-sensitive diaphragm needs to seal against the patient's body to function properly. The Adult size is the default and we typically recommend the Pediatric for infants, small exotics, and small puppies and kittens. That being said, many professionals find that they are able to use an Adult size just fine. An Adult diaphragm has a diameter of approximately 1.75" (~43mm) and the Pediatric a diameter of approximately 1.25" (~32mm).

The Standard type tubing & binaural set is approximately 30" (762mm) in total from ear tips to the end of the tubing. The flexible hose portion of the set is approximately 23" (584mm). The binaurals are roughly 4.5" tall (~114mm).

The Cardiology type tubing & binaural set is approximately 30" (762mm) in total from ear tips to the end of the tubing. The flexible hose portion of the set is approximately 18" (457mm). The binaurals are roughly 4" tall (~102mm).

An Extended model's removable extension will add approximately 20" to the Ultrascope. 18" of that are the flexible hose with the remaining 2" coming from the short adapter attached to the head and the quick-connecting hardware between it, the extension, and the main tubing set.
