The builder below has an easy to use file uploader. The uploader allows you to crop and edit your design while showing you how it fits within a circle and what will be cut through by the central sound hole.
Once you are happy with your combination, add it to the cart and checkout. Then, keep an eye out for your proof.
Select your head size, design orientation, tubing, and any engraving. The preview panel shows a rough approximation of the optical warping (stretching) caused by the curved sides of the head on the outer edge of the design. Further explanation below under Guidelines.
We email you a true-to-life proof of your custom design to approve or request changes. Limit of 1-2 revisions or within reason.

Your design is printed on the underside of the acrylic head. The central sound hole cuts through the design, the internal tube runs over the image, and the curved sides magnify and warp the edges of the design like a lens. The sides of the head balloon outward so the diameter of the print space is a little smaller that the overall diameter of the head.
Some photos or logos work better inverted. We orient all of our stock designs such that they are right-side-up around the neck and upside-down when in use (ie. tubing at the top). Either way, it's never upside-down all the time! If you are using a centered photo of a pet or person, it may work better rotated in the other direction so that you can fit it on either side of the internal tube.
The higher the design's resolution, the better it will print. We have minimum height and width restrictions of 500 pixels on the file uploader. Anything smaller than that will print poorly. We are capable of upscaling some photos as necessary but images with a minimum of 1000 pixels on each side are recommended.
We recommend avoiding any non-logotype text in your designs. The optical warping caused by the curved sides and internal sound tube can cause plenty of legibility issues. Text-based logos can still look great and the proof you receive will show you exactly what to expect!
